Gil Yosef

גיל יוסף

Age: 29 | Organization: ARGAMON | Position: Founder & CTO

Gil Yosef, a 29-year-old startup entrepreneur and defense innovator, grew up in the village of Givat Ye’arim in the Jerusalem hills. Gil’s journey began during his military service in the Egoz unit. During one operation, a team member was injured and broke his leg. The team lacked proper limb immobilization equipment and had to improvise a solution using a branch and a personal bandage, which they used to transport the injured soldier to the hospital.

This incident left a lasting impression on Gil, sparking a search for a quick and effective solution for emergency treatment of injuries in the field. After completing his military service, his determination to enhance soldiers’ safety led him to research and development. Gil studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in the Department of Industrial Design to deepen his knowledge in design and engineering.

As part of his final project, Gil focused on developing innovative solutions for treating injuries. Inspired by the military incident, he developed Quick Sleeve – a limb immobilization splint that inflates within 10 seconds using a capsule and a chemical reaction, enabling fast and efficient fracture stabilization. He later expanded this technology to develop Quick Stretcher – a micro stretcher.

Gil founded ARGAMON, where he serves as CTO, with the mission of revolutionizing field emergency medicine. Through innovative, patented solutions, ARGAMON strives to provide soldiers, emergency teams, and rescue crews with the best products for treating injuries quickly and in any field conditions.

This project was completed as part of his undergraduate studies in the Department of Industrial Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, under the guidance of Dov Ganchrow.
