Omri Troiza

Age: 30 | Organization: Cognyte | Position: Head of Research Team

Omri, a gamer and science fiction enthusiast, is the living definition of “curiosity” – deep, research-driven, and methodical curiosity. Some would describe him as addicted to the smallest details and learning, believing there’s no question without an answer, even if he has to invent one. Omri served three years in a classified unit of the IDF’s C4I Corps, specializing in Host Forensics and Malware Analysis. During his service, he developed investigative tools that had a direct impact on Israel’s national security.

Omri naturally continued on this path of mission-driven work, spending five years at the Ministry of Defense in a classified unit, where he held two key roles in the field of cybersecurity. His curiosity and sense of purpose drive and define him, fueling his excellence in everything he undertakes. At Cognyte, Omri became a major driving force in the cybersecurity group as Head of the Research Team. His work focuses on developing highly complex analytics to detect attack hypotheses or suspicious behavior. This includes Python coding to identify anomalies using statistical models, behavioral analysis based on deep research, and more.

Excelling in this role requires being an authority in cybersecurity, just like Omri. As a result, Omri advanced at Cognyte at a meteoric pace – after just a year and a half, he was promoted to Head of the Team, directly shaping the company’s product for years to come. Omri is self-taught, thorough, and inherently curious. He is relentless in seeking answers, digging as deep as necessary to find them, and knows how to extract maximum value from any knowledge source, translating it into high-quality, practical solutions that deliver real impact.
